Information skills training
Subject Librarians offer information skills training for individuals or groups, by arrangement with your tutor, at appropriate times during your course.
Induction sessions are offered at the start of each semester to introduce you to the University of West London libraries and the University of West London catalogue. If you haven’t been to a library induction, please ask your Subject Librarian what is available.
Subject Librarians also run sessions to help you use resources in the most effective way in order to find appropriate information for your assignments and projects. Post-induction sessions may be offered on project or dissertation research, accessing and using electronic databases, etc. If you would like a session of this sort, please ask your tutor to contact the appropriate Subject Librarian.
